Bonjour!

I am a native French speaker, educated in Southern France,with eight years in foreign language instruction in various public and private schools/institutions including the US Army in Fort Bragg, NC.

I am presently working with five students who are committed to learning French mostly for professional reasons.

I have a MA in French literature, I am passionate about teaching and I enjoy working with students who take this type of study seriously. I always incorporate cultural and historical information in my language program because there is more to this than irregular verbs and vocabulary lists. You are actually going to discover a way of life.

I have developed my own system for learning French which is a simple, effective approach. It will allow you to build confidence by mastering the sound system first, then the grammatical structure and finally the vocabulary.

I want to share this experience with you online. All you need is the latest version of Skype [which is a free program], a good quality headset or speakers and mike and a PayPal account [which is also free].

I offer flexible rates and schedules and I am eager to help you "get there!", i.e. feel more and more comfortable about your language skills. I work with beginners, intermediate or advanced students. There is nothing magic about learning a foreign language. It just takes time, commitment and a system. I provide the system, a unique common sense system that will get your there fast. We will be sharing information on a white board as if we were in the same room. We will share URLs, pictures, docs, text, songs, anything to make the program effective and fun. We will also be using the internet which has hundreds of sites where you can learn more about French and France.

Learning French can be fun and rewarding... A strong sense of humor helps a lot!
